Brian Schroeder

Brian Schroeder is a caffeine-dependent life form, and founder of Preventia, after spending 20+ frustrating years in big healthcare watching patients struggle to manage their chronic health conditions. Brian is a Past President of the National Wellness Institute (BOD) and serves on a number of mission-driven advisory boards.

Brian received his MBA (healthcare focus) from Indiana University and is a lean six sigma black belt with expertise in building business strategies around prevention, population health, health coaching, mental & behavioral health, lifestyle medicine and nutrition.

He also serves as a business advisor to local start-ups in Indianapolis and is an active leader of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. In 2023, Brian and his team were awarded the TechPoint Mira Award for excellence in technology – with Brian being nominated again in 2024 for the Rising Entrepreneur Award.

His wife (Amy) and daughter (Isabelle) are his true North – and “the why” behind founding Preventia in 2017. In his spare time, he’s an avid Colts fan, Cross-fit enthusiast, and an extremely gifted napper.

For over 35 years, Michael has been at the forefront of transforming healthcare and health plans. His mission is to guide business leaders, associations, brokers, and providers through the evolving landscape of health insurance and proactive, preventive, and predictive personalized healthcare. Embracing the mantra "BE THE CHANGE" Michael has consistently created and implemented innovative strategies to help employers and employees manage insurance costs while ensuring access to high-quality, cost-effective providers.

Michael and his wife, Catherine, enjoy traveling, hiking, cycling, plant-based cooking, and animal rescue. They are active members of Grow Church in Naples and a dedicated man of faith. Their children, Jack and Mary, were both student-athletes at Florida State University and now in medical school and law school respectively.
